Trayce Pjirrou's musical life has been consumed by mastering the art of poetic lyricism, and by creating a unique guitar style. Born in Los Angeles, Trayce began playing guitar and singing at the age of six when he had his first lesson from a retired country and western steel guitar perfomer. Later moving with his family to Santa Barbara in the 1960's, he began picking up on the music explosion of the counter culture era, studying jazz guitar, writing songs, performing and absorbing the myriad influences of that uniquely creative decade. Trayce has continued to develop musically over four decades. He spent several years during the 1980's working at Motown Productions in Los Angeles with various artists including Cindy Birdsong of the Supremes. He also fronted his own group, appearing at popular Los Angeles venues. In the nineties, Trayce acquired a wide ranging reputation while fronting an all original 7 piece pop band based in Santa Barbara.

Aiming to continue developing songs which utilize a sophisticated level of poetic lyrics, Trayce believes that the language of song writing should be challenging. He works to develop stories and images in his songs which create compelling atmosphere and mood. The spirit of his music is infused with the people, landscapes and experiences that have been particularly evocative for him as an artist.

Coupled with this passion is his desire to develop a personal and unique guitar style drawing from classical, flamenco, pop, jazz and blues, into a versatile blend of striking solo work. Being a Hatha Yoga devotee and teacher of many years, and a living foods practicioner has helped him develop a higher level of musical technique. It has also facilitiated his making a deeper connection to his live audiences, and to share his soul's path in a lively and fun way.

THE TEMPLE OF LOVE:

born in sedona, a small forest dome, canyonside, the scrappy juniper, the brother raven, carvings of the mogollon rim, plucked from the air sweeping down from the mythic heights into my ear, drips off the ravens wings setting out at dawn, chopping wood, star exstacy, diamond geometry. Poetry, melody, rythmn; a sometimes psychic look into the world removed, the stunning tierra, many lives past; in praise of creatures, plants, earth et all; also includes songs written in tennessee, california, kentucky, massachusetts, new mexico, and other places:

in summary: from impressionistic looks at the Hollywood culture of the strip, to the spiritual heights of Sacred Sedona, and, everything in between; a prismatic look at the manifestations of love at different levels.

gemini rises over cookville, tn; songs plucked from the grassy hills, where bluegrass was born in north eastern tennessee.
