LA AND SB, CA 5.12.06 arrived in LA 2am; stay in hollywood hills, just down from errol flynn's estate,
or, whats left of it. go to edge, the famous dance studio down off of santa monica blvd; do jazz classes for a couple of
days, wicked professional. hollywood all cleaned up. go to elixirs, a hip little tea house with exceptional meditative garden;
have a ginseng pick me up; lots of interesting signage on stores; LA; the graphic city. up to santa barbara:
cinco de mayo festivities at de la guerra plaza. vino, mujeres, y canciones. elsewhere in sb: lots of good organic food,
vegetable stands, farmer's markets. play the arlington theater with Tom Curren Band (former 3 time world
surfing champ); biggest theater in SB. a benefit with a surf movie from the Bruce Brown, endless summer gang, big crowd who
liked the music! meet wes brown back stage who is following in his father's film footsteps.
"counting the cars on the new jersey
turnpike, we've all come to look for ameirca" the chorus of paul simon's "America"; little did i know i was destined to make
it to you know where.

SMILE! IT'S GOURMET ORGANIC RAW FOOD!
OUTSIDE OF PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY 5.02.06. the center for integrative health. about 4 miles of windy road through
a budding spring canopy of forest to a nondescript house. it's raw food pot luck night. i go in and watch videos on health
and diet. sunrider products. a very nice center. with a brand new kitchen where LK, who is quickly becoming a master at
nutrition and raw food, teaches food prep. Dr. V. is redoing house room by room. very impressive kitchen, a raw foodist's
dream; and the dutch revival dining room with dr. v.'s sword collection, which he walks me through. first time ever i've
unsheaved a sword. after handling the swords i get of sense of a nobler form of combat, but, even better, the sense of the
archetypal myths involving swords. he has also designed some of these. after pot luck we go down to his office in the basement.
he got his phd when he was 19 years old. up on a huge screen connected to computer and microscope are blood molecules.
one only has to look at deseased blood, mostly due to the sad diet (standard american diet) to be astounded. if more people
saw these things, raw food would be all the rage. i give a mini concert in the dining room for the appreciative raw gang.

HOW'S THAT FOR AN ERECTION
NEW YORK CITY 4.21.06
once again into gotham. the 12:00 train to penn station, get my bearings, wanted to walk the fashion district, but, no time,
uptown to 72nd and broadway, can't get the subway wired. jazz class at steps, not quite in shape, taxing session, but getting
there, a couple more weeks of working out, crowded class, ace dancers, old architecture, french feel to the anterooms, lots
of studio space, want to live across the street and study til i get it right.

BULLBOY FINDS HIS MASCOT
at first glance its one of those confusing "modern art" pieces that your parents would find confounding. how can they
call that art? but those of us savy and hip connoseurs (spell?) know right away. IT'S A BULL

|
YOU CAN TELL A DEMOISELLE BY HER GRAPES
NEW YORK CITY, easter sunday, 4.16.06 hustled to leave ivy beleaguered princeton, train to new york, boom through
the underground to 53rd St, nyc subway not user friendly; museum of modern art; picasso's night fishing at entibe; my favorite
picasso, if there can be such a thing. demoiselle d'avignon: i can see why it's so famous, a picture can't convey the expressive
boldness of it; edvard munch exhibit; a photo of the sagitarius painting out in a snowcovered courtyard. the tight, hip crowd
of new york; you can tell the artists, myself included, looking close up at the way the paint is applied; everyone else standing
back; a soft moody gauguin with gold leaves, very subtle. wanted a pictgure with moore's reclining figure, but, settled for
picasso's goat.

AH! THE SIMPLE LIFE
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY, august 2005 - december 2006
only took a couple of pictures the entire time, down on the water front, and, when i visited the childhood home of president
lincoln, (remember the story about reading books by candle light in a little one room country shack? i know you do!) which
is off a windy little road in the middle of nowhere, a beautiful, lush little rural valley in central kentucky. recorded "miss
mystery" over and over again to learn the software; whiskey and horses abound. fourth street live is the downtown hot spot.
after the music thrills of nashville, i'm not so hot to seek out the wonders of this mid south city. played one blues jam,
smoke so thick you couldn't breathe. done with that, thank you very much. the big river. 4th street live, the watering wholes.
drive over the appalachians for the third time this year. escape to california for christmas.

traditional old baseball at fenway park, defintely the place to see it. clay cleansing, and recording all my songs for copyright
and personal record. serious recording not to start until i learn the programs better. but, still came out good. walk near
the lotus covered ponds every day on the aimes estate with my buddies, rosey and lucky, meditate under pine trees. aimes got
booted out of congress for buying off politicians to build the transcontinental railroad, for which north easton made all
the shovels. some things never change.
